New look for the Ostomyland website
We’ve had a bit of a spring clean here at Ostomyland. The Oland main site is often peoples first contact with our site and it’s community as it houses the majority of our article-based ostomy information. Whilst I’ve been very happy with the performance of WordPress – the software which powers this part of Ostomyland – the theme on it was a heavily edited existing theme, and so it didn’t fit in with the look of the other major part of Ostomyland; our community portal, powered by Invision Power Board. So, this time around I’ve rolled up my sleeves and given the main site a visual overhaul.
The main aims of which were to try to give as “clean” look to the site, as well as being visibly more identifiable with the community board’s existing look. This means there’s more dark blue and white areas, and ofcourse our usual logo is still sat at the top in pride of place. Our little mascot – the ever loveable and furry “Fuzzbutt” is also clearly introduced to our visitors as being part of the header, as she sits there welcoming everyone to the site. Continue reading

The All-New “Pouches and Products” Forum
The “Pouches and Products” forum has just launched.
http://www.ostomyland.org/ostomyboardipb/index.php?/forum/174-pouches-and-products/
It’s a new forum which lets you tell the world about the products you currently use, and what you think about them. It’s kind of like a reviews section but without the formality of having to comply to discussing certain criteria in your posts.
Why not start a thread telling us which products you currently use, what you think of them, and why you are using them? Would you change to something else if you could?
Have you come across a product that you are not too keen on? Let us know about it and why. But remember that the companies also browse these forums…. ’nuff said. ![]()
It is my hope that the forum will help people discover new products to try which might meet their needs. So, if there is something you’d want to know about a product dont forget to include that information in any posts you make!
