Due to the conversion of the old message board over to the new, there is a small possibility of some of the users passwords getting corrupted. In these cases the board automatically creates a new random password and associates it with the account.
If you cannot log into your message board account, try the Password Retrival gizmo on the main login page.
This should send a copy of the password to the email account you had associated with your account on the board. If you receive no password at all or receive one and still cannot log in, please contact us with your board user name and we’ll look into it for you. At that stage there is a possibility that the only solution would be to start a brand new account on the board.
So far, there has only been one reported corrupted password and that was just one of the admins secondary accounts, used for testing the board with, which is a lot less than I expected. Hopefully very few people will experience this problem with their account post-conversion.
Colostomates, Ileostomates and Urostomates the World over rejoice! For the new Ostomyland website has finally gone live to the public!
Packed full of Colostomy information and support, Ostomyland has over gone this huge revamp to time with the projects 10th Anniversary online! You’ll find all the usual Ostomy support, Stoma advice, hints and tips, and the thriving Chat and Board community you’ve come to expect, plus some new content, such as:
Clinimed (UK) on Manufacturers listing;
User Comments on Site Page;
The Anniversary Memoirs (Coming Soon) ;
Fuzzbutt’s Top Tips; and,
The Ostomy Wiki
Also, with the site now being powered by WordPress, the admins are able to add more content to the site quickly and easily, so that there will be new content on the site on a regular basis.
I hope you all enjoy the new website as much as I enjoyed making it. I think it looks cool. I hope you do too.

Over the weekend, the Ostomyland message board has been down due to some unscheduled downtime with the database server. The hosts have now rectified this problem and we’re back up and running at full speed.
Please note that for times like this we have a backup board installed on a seperate webspace account, so should the main ostomyland message board ever be unobtainable, please feel free to pop over to the emergency ostomyland board, located at: http://www.ostomyland.co.uk/phpbb/
