Hannah’s double achievement

Tonight our very own Hannah (Julie and Wayne’s daughter) will receive A Young Achievers Award For Bravery from Derbyshire County Council after being nominated by her Head Teacher.

The awards are about giving youngsters the credit they deserve. Young people achieve many great things in communities – and some of these achievements are made against incredible odds.

The award will be collected by her father and grandfather…..as Hannah will be in Lapland tonight!

Hannah meets Santa at BreakAway
Hannah meets Santa at BreakAway

Wish Upon A Star, a charity devoted to granting wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, has organised a day trip to Lapland for Hannah after she was nominated by our very own Brooke (Mel and Mark’s daughter).

Hannah and Julie will not be the only ones meeting Santa today. Nicky and Ethan will also be on the trip! They have been through a really tough time recently and when Julie let the charity know, they arranged for them to be included too.

Hannah, Brooke and Ethan all met through Breakaway, a support group set up by Julie and our Rach for young people with bowel or bladder problems.

We at ostomyland all hope you have a magical day and bring back lots of photos to share with us! :)
